Aegir Sea Shell Lime is a 100% natural source of lime. The shells are cleaned, heated, and ground into a granulate (pieces). Due to this granular form, it dissolves slowly in the soil. As a result, the pH rises slowly, and pH fluctuations can be avoided. In this way, the growth of soil life is stimulated, creating optimum conditions for plant growth. A too rapid rise in pH can damage soil life.

Aegir Seashell Grit is a slow-release calcium soil conditioner, 100% natural product, created by living organisms in the sea.  The shells are cleaned, washed, and heated before being uniformly ground to a coarse grit. This calcium source has a long-lasting effect when applied to the soil, ensuring a stable pH.  The product is also rich in a wide range of trace elements.

Aegir Seashell Grit is a rich source of calcium [96.1 % Ca Co3 ] which stabilises the pH and feeds the soil with a wide range of unique minerals and trace elements. A good soil pH is very important for good plant growth. If the pH of the soil is low (acidic), various nutrients are bound in the soil and the plant cannot absorb them. By optimising the pH with Aegir Sea Shell Lime you can counteract acidification.

Usage Guide

• Application rates in agriculture and Bokashi heaps:
• Soil repair liming: 1000kg/ha 1x
• Maintenance: 500kg/ha every 3 years
• Bokashi making: 10kg in recipe per sq mtr
• Instructions for use in gardening:
• Spread it over the soil and work it in lightly.
• 1 kg / 10m² / year.
• 3 kg / 30m² / year.
• 10 kg / 100m² / year.
