As we finally emerge from the cold, wet winter months, our hope is for a calm spring time with some settled weather. This gives us the perfect opportunity to start working on our gardens in preparation for planting bulbs and seeds, which sometimes need to be dispersed within a certain time window.

To help flowers, plants and even grass to flourish, it is wise to give the soil a little love, in order to improve the condition and put back any nutrients that may have been lost during the winter season. Here are just a couple of easy ways that you can achieve this, without breaking the bank and with as little effort as possible.

Use an EM-1 soil additive

An effective micro-organism solution includes lactic acid bacteria, yeasts and photosynthetic bacteria, which are activated by the addition of water and sugar cane molasses. This blend will help to reactivate any existing microorganisms, which will then work to enrich the ecosystem to improve the outcomes of plant growth and harvests.

Spread Vulkamin on your lawn

It may sound like something out of Star Trek, but Vulkamin is actually a 100% natural soil improver. The primal rock granulate contains minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium, which when spread evenly just once in the spring and again in the autumn, can help with the development of grass, hedges and plant borders.

Try an organic fertiliser

Our organic fertiliser is made from 100% natural ingredients, which will help to sustain and improve your soil. Good soil management is essential if you wish to grow successfully, helping to reduce the risk of plant disease and giving them a greater chance of longer survival.

Utilise a homoeopathic plant stimulant

Helping to promote healthy plant growth and boost their immunology, a solution such as this can contain up to 20 active organic trace minerals. It is great for using on trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetables.

Use EM fermented herb extract

Made from EM and various herbs, this extract will contain organic acids, bioactive substances and minerals, which will work to provide your plants with high quality nutrients, as well as suppress diseases and harmful insects.
